If fall family photos have been on your list, but you haven’t quite gotten around to booking them, I get it. Between school, naps, work, and figuring out what everyone will wear, even something you’re excited about can feel like another thing to organize.
My fall mini sessions are meant to make that a little easier.
This October, I’m offering 20-minute sessions at two locations: Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing, and Rosedale 1811 Farm. Both are lovely options for updated family photographs, a few pictures of your growing little ones, or maternity photos.
We’ll make time for some smiling-at-the-camera photographs and the little moments in between. Your child leaning into you. A quick cuddle. Everyone laughing because the toddler has decided to do their own thing.
You don’t have to arrive with a family who knows exactly how to pose. I’ll help with that part.
Fall Mini Sessions at Riverside
Riverside is one of my favorite places for family photos here in Louisville’s South End. Its open fields, setting along the Ohio River, and historic character give us a beautiful backdrop without needing much else.
If you love outdoor photographs with room to move and soft evening light, this is a lovely choice. I especially enjoy the way a simple walk or a cuddle together fits naturally into this setting.
Riverside fall mini session details:
- Dates: Wednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22, 2026
- Session length: 20 minutes
- Price: $175 plus tax
- Location: Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing in Louisville
There is also a Sunday, October 25 date, which is currently sold out.
See available Riverside session times and book here.
Fall Mini Sessions at Rosedale 1811 Farm
My Rosedale minis offer a cozy farm setting with seasonal scenery for your fall photographs.
If you’re drawn to a farm backdrop or need a Saturday session, this is the option to look at. We’ll keep the photographs focused on your family, with a mix of gently guided portraits and natural moments together.
Rosedale fall mini session details:
- Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
- Session length: 20 minutes
- Price: $225 plus tax
- Location: Rosedale 1811 Farm

Which Location Should You Choose?
If you love an open outdoor setting with riverfront character, I’d lean toward Riverside. It’s also the lower-priced option, with Wednesday and Thursday evening sessions.
If you prefer a cozy farm setting or need a Saturday appointment, Rosedale may be the better fit.
You don’t have to overthink it. Choose the setting you’re drawn to and the appointment that works best for your family. Comfortable, unrushed arrivals matter more than finding a “perfect” backdrop.
Is a Mini Session Right for Your Family?
These sessions are designed for immediate families, couples, maternity photographs, or children.
Twenty minutes can work really well when you want updated photographs without planning a longer session. I’ll guide you through simple prompts and keep things moving while leaving room for connection.
And if your toddler needs to stay close to you at first, that’s okay. We can start with a cuddle. They don’t have to jump straight into smiling at someone they’ve just met.
If you’re hoping to include extended family, please reach out before booking so we can talk about the best option.
What Should You Wear?
Warm neutrals, earthy colors, and soft textures work beautifully for fall photographs. Think cream, oatmeal, soft brown, muted green, or a little denim.
Everyone doesn’t need to match. Start with an outfit you feel comfortable in, then choose pieces for the rest of the family that work alongside it.
I’m happy to help you coordinate outfits after booking. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.
A Few Things to Know Before Your Session
Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early so you have time to park, gather everyone, and get to our meeting spot. Minis run back-to-back, so a late arrival may mean a shorter session.
If rain or unsafe weather keeps us from photographing outdoors, I’ll contact you with the backup plan or rescheduling information.
Your appointment is officially reserved once you complete the booking process.
Need a Little More Time?
If you’d rather have a longer session with more room for breaks and variety, weekday full family sessions are another option this October.
I’m not adding any more October weekend sessions beyond the scheduled minis, but you’re welcome to reach out about a weekday full session.
Let’s Get Your Fall Photos Planned
You don’t need perfectly coordinated children or a toddler who sits still on command. Come ready to spend a little time together, and I’ll help guide the rest.
