I’m 30 years old, and based out of Louisville, Ky. I’m a wife to my goofy husband Andrew and a momma to my 9 month old, Lorelai.  I  have FOUR fur babies: Charlie, Mazie, Socket and Cat. When i’m not behind the camera, you can find me at home learning how to be a homemaker (like learning how to bake with sourdough, sew a quilt or garden my own food), walking with my neighbors or fishing with my hubbie.

For as long as I could remember, I was obsessed with looking through old National Geographics and TIME magazines looking at the pictures. Almost all of them struck me as having some sort of story, or deep emotion tied to it.

Photography has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. In 2010, I got my first film camera and took several classes majoring in arts in high school. When I went to college, my dad got me my first digital camera and  it has been love ever since. I started my wedding photography business based in Louisville Kentucky in 2020, and went full time as a photographer in 2021. In 2022, I opened my own studio and my love for photographing babies, maternity, families, and milestones grew tremendously.

For as long as I could remember, my dad LOVED taking photos of my brothers and I growing up. When I started working on my new website and scrolling through my favorite memories, I realize just how many photos he took of us and it pulls on my heart.

Some of my favorite memories are captured as forever stories by photographs. I love the pictures of my brother and I cuddled up on the couch with my momma. Or an old photo of my grandpa Ostertag behind the counter of my families 3 generation-owned grocery store.

There are some stories that will be passed on to the next generations through word of mouth, but i’ve always loved how finite a photograph can be. When I look at the photos of my childhood, the nostalgia takes me back to simpler and more wholesome times of my life.

I want to give that experience to all of my clients through my work. An intimate moment frozen in time.

Family is SO important to me. I have been blessed with the best and without them, I really wouldn't have the life I have now. I am married to Andrew (yes, we know are names are one letter off!). Andrew and I met in high school, but didn't date until 5 years later in 2015. We have our beautiful soon-to-be one year daughter, Lorelai (que the tears).

A bit more about my family

A little known fact about me, is that before I started doing photography, I bred and showed dogs from 2005-2015. I trained them, travelled with them,  and love them with all my heart. There is something so pure about animals and their ability to live in the moment. Charlie is my best girl! If you book a session with me, you may see her tagging along whether it be at the park or at my studio! My love for animals is also why they are allowed at my studio! Reach out if you're interested in letting your fur baby tag along to your engagement or family session!

I love animals as much as people

There's something so freeing about working with your hands! When Andrew and I got married and moved into our home in 2019, I have been learning all things gardening, cooking, and baking. This year, I plan to add raised flower beds and raise my own chickens!

It's the moments in between that get me. The kiss that your grandpa steals the first time he sees you in the dress. Or the silly face your little one makes while you're getting their second outfit during their milestone session at my photography studio located in the south end of Louisville, Kentucky. Maybe it's the sweet look your husband steals as you're looking away. Whatever it is, i'm usually the one to notice and capture it.
